Three words to sum this Year’s Celebration of the Year of the TIGGER*
Three words really to sum during this year’s festive mood of CNY Valentines Blend.
- Visitors
- Somehow, the people who don’t really show up, show up somehow and those who are somewhat distant from family ties come around to visit. That begins to linger in my mind whether their visits are with an intention (besides being in the occasion mood) or they are just visiting… What do you think? Whatever it is, I am glad that they came to visit for this time its about bonding (whether is it over a cup of tea and goodies or ehh hemm… “gambling”). Otherwise, politics within the family as usual… Other than that, the amount of visitors are also increasing (particularly kids). As one generation passes on, one (or more) are born and brought to this world and new generations arise from their adolescene shells. That also means, more Ang Pow for the married ones to give (*sweat =_=”). It’s only wishful thinking that these new generation of people can change things around… we shall see…
2. Atmosphere
- This year’s new year seems quiet to me, not much of a great deal of celebration as so much is heard about year of the tiger or “The Year of the Cat”, which reminds me of an old song done by Scottish singer-songwriter, Al Stewart, being claimed that the year is not a good year for a lot of people, so and so… yada yada yada… Metal Tiger? Well, one thing for me is certain, the new year for me is a good time to have a good time no matter good or bad and really light up and bring good times at times of strife and hardship. So, what better way to spend time this season. Oh yeah… Weather is friggin terrible… that’s for sure…
3. Weird
- Maybe this third entry isn’t really what should I be talking about because, it’s just weird to sit down and watching CNY television programs all over…over….. over…. and over again… Not to mention when a “friend” also appears in one of the programs…
Blessed New Year, Great blessings throughout this year and Have fun!
